NEW ZEALAND - Recent rain has been a welcome respite from ongoing dry weather conditions in much of the country, but farmers in droughtaffected parts of New Zealand will continue to feel the impacts of El Nio for months, as New Zealand's weather science service NIWA's latest seasonal outlook indicates.The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is monitoring the weather situation closely and keeping Ministers updated. MPI said itis working through Rural Support Trusts and industry groups to help understand the impacts and ensure that support mechanisms are in place.
